The generation of young teachers actively introduces new fitness trends (fitball-aerobics, zumba, pilates, crossfit) into physical education classes, thereby meeting the high demands of modern students, forming in them a stable motivation for regular physical activity. During the period of distance learning, the discipline "Physical Culture" was taught on the Teams learning platform.
From 2014 to 2020, the Department of Physical Culture ran training courses in fitness (bodybuilding, aerobics, pilates, yoga, billiards) as part of additional adult education. Since 2020, the department has for the first time begun conducting classes with foreign students in English.
Teachers of the Department of Physical Culture improve their qualifications by studying in Master's programs (Demid E.G., Klunduk V.V., Sysonova K.V.) and postgraduate studies, as well as in the form of doctoral candidacy (Sinyavskaya T.N., Tarasov P.R., Kazakova L.V., Miskevich T.V.) at BNTU and the Educational Institution "BGUFK". Under the guidance of the department's professor, R.E. Zimnitskaya, five department teachers successfully defended their dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences: O.K.
