Shiryaev Alexander

Education:

  • in 1997, graduated from the Academy of Physical Education and Sports with a degree in "Physical Culture and Sports".

Professional activity:

  • 1997–1999 – physical education teacher at Secondary School No. 138 in Minsk;
  • since 1999 – volleyball coach at the Society of the Deaf in Minsk;
  • since 2003 – physical education teacher at Secondary School No. 7 in Minsk;
  • since 2004 – lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of BNTU;
  • since 2016 – senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture of BNTU;
  • fulfills teaching load at the main academic department of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics;
  • participated in the development of the "Volleyball" section within the framework of writing the curriculum for the discipline "Physical Culture" for BNTU students (2018);
  • developed an author's methodology for conducting sports games classes with students of technical universities, as well as for correlation of strength endurance of girls aged 18–20;
  • during the period of distance learning, successfully mastered the work on the Teams educational platform.

Research activity:

  • conducted research within the framework of the departmental research theme carried out during the second half of the working day of the teaching staff (2016–2020, state registration No. 16-311) "Application of modern fitness trends in physical education of BNTU students";
  • carried out monitoring and comparative analysis of indicators of physical development, functional state and adaptive potential of students;
  • has 6 printed works.

Continuing professional development:

  • in 2010 – at the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of BSUPC with a programme "Formation of modern knowledge, skills and abilities for organising the process of physical education in higher education institutions";
  • April–May 2014 – at RIIT BNTU for occupational safety in higher education;
  • January–February 2019 – at BNTU with a programme "Organisation and methodological support of swimming classes for students";
  • April–May 2022 – at the BNTU branch "Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining" with a programme "Innovative Educational Technologies and Methods";
  • January 2024 – at the EE "BSUPC" with a programme "Organisation of Classes and Methods of Teaching Swimming".

Sports achievements:

  • since 2004 – Candidate for Master of Sports in Volleyball;
  • since 2013 – National Category Sports Referee in Volleyball;
  • participates in refereeing competitions.
