Today, on July 22, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted an open meeting of the admissions committee for the admission of applicants for general higher and special higher education at the expense of the national budget (based on the results of the CES/CT).
The Presidium included Chairman of the Admissions Committee, Rector of BNTU Sergey Kharitonchik, Deputy Chairman of the Admissions Committee, First Vice-rector Andrey Safonov and Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, Director of IIFOiMO Natalia Afanasyeva.
At the meeting, the deans of the faculties presented passing and semi-passing scores for specialties, as well as the proposed number of applicants for admission. After a detailed review of all the proposals, the members of the admissions committee made a unanimous decision to approve them.
Thus, 2,361 applicants out of 4,416 who applied became students of BNTU. Among the applicants, 352 children were enrolled without entrance tests, and 35 were out of competition.
Of the admitted state-funded applicants, 89 have 100-point certificates from the Centralized Examination or Centralized Testing (CT), 337 have gold/silver medals or honors diplomas for completing secondary vocational education. Thirty-one graduates of the National Children's Technology Park (24 of which were admitted without entrance examinations) also enrolled at BNTU, 532 (77 of which were admitted without entrance examinations) graduated from engineering classes, and 104 (3 of which were admitted without entrance examinations) graduated from teaching classes.
The specialty with the highest passing score (381) was "Economics and Management. Financial support and economics of combat and economic activities of the troops" — in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, the female Faculty of Military Technology, the civilian specialty with the highest passing score (380) turned out to be "robotic systems. Industrial robots and robotic complexes" of the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics. The highest competition was 4 people for a place in the specialty "economics and management. Economics and Management at an industrial enterprise" of the Faculty of Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship.
