Timoshenkova Ekaterina

Education:

  • in 1995, graduated from the Academy of Physical Education and Sports of the Republic of Belarus with a degree in "Physical Culture and Sports";
  • in 2007, completed postgraduate studies at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank with a specialisation 13.00.04 – "Theory and Methods of Physical Education, Sports Training and Health Physical Culture" and submitted a dissertation. Dissertation title: "Dynamics of physical fitness and functional state of students, methods and means of their management (based on non-core specialities)".

Professional activity:

  • since 1996 – lecturer, senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture of the International Humanitarian Institute;
  • since 2011 – lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture of the Sports and Technical Faculty of BNTU;
  • since 2016 – senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture of the Sports and Technical Faculty of BNTU;
  • fulfills teaching load in special medical groups at the Special Educational Department (SED);
  • develops methodological recommendations for regulating physical loads in classes with SED students;
  • developed sets of corrective exercises for independent study by students with health disorders;
  • in 2020, during distance learning, successfully mastered conducting classes with students on the Teams educational platform.

Research activity:

  • in the individual research direction "Fundamentals of methods for developing general endurance in students of the Special Educational Department in callanetics classes" within the framework of the departmental research theme carried out during the second half of the working day of the teaching staff (2016–2020, state registration No. 16-311): "Application of modern fitness trends in physical education of BNTU students"; conducts research on the functional state of SED female students by analysing indicators of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems for experimental substantiation of the effectiveness of the methodology;
  • annually participates in national and university scientific-methodological conferences, including abroad;
  • has published more than 40 printed works in total, including 1 methodological recommendation "Standardisation of physical exercises during tests", 1 act of implementation of scientific and methodological work into the educational process of BNTU and BSTU; has published 5 scientific papers in the last 5 years.

Continuing professional development:

  • January–February 2013 and June 2018 – at the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of EE "BSUPC" with a programme "Peculiarities of physical education of students with health disorders";
  • February 2021 – at the BNTU branch "Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining" in the course "Innovative Educational Technologies and Methods";
  • January 2023 – at the EE "BSUPC" with a programme "Organisation of Classes and Methods of Teaching Swimming".

Sports achievements:

  • 2nd rank in athletics;
  • since 1995 – sports referee (athletics).
