Experience in the functioning of large sports and entertainment complexes has shown that competent coordination of the work of the customer and contractors is not carried out properly due to the lack of personnel who understand and know the operation of the complexes as a whole, and not for individual life support systems of the facility. For the full functioning of sports facilities, specialists are needed who understand the work of all its component services, who know international standards for organizing and holding sporting events, and technical requirements for the process of preparing sites.
The areas of professional activity of a certified specialist in this specialization are the processes of managing the material and technical support of sports facilities and the organization of highly efficient use of engineering and information systems of sports infrastructure facilities.
At sports facilities, they will have work related to technical support and organization of automated control of technological processes during sports and entertainment events of various sizes.
The curriculum includes such disciplines as electronics, automation, operation and diagnostics of automation systems, communication technologies of sports and entertainment complexes, economics of sports facilities, technical means of supporting sports events, marketing and management of sports facilities, information technology in sports, technical operation of sports facilities and etc.
Graduates will be able to work at sports facilities, in organizations and institutions involved in holding sports and entertainment events, as well as in enterprises that install and service engineering and information systems of sports facilities.
In accordance with the current educational standard, specialists are trained for subsequent research, production, technological and organizational and management activities at enterprises and organizations of industrial, physical education, health and sports complexes specializing in the development, production, repair and maintenance of judicial information systems , exercise machines, equipment, devices and equipment for sports purposes.
When training specialists, much attention is paid to the theoretical construction and design of sports equipment, the development and debugging of software and hardware for programming digital devices, and electronic timing systems for competition results. Students gain knowledge in the field of composite materials, sensory and computer technology, electronics, software, biomechanics, theory and methods of physical education, sports training, human anatomy and physiology.
Students undergo practical training at enterprises and companies that produce, supply, install and service sports equipment from the world's leading manufacturers, collaborating with the subjects of the sports infrastructure of the Republic of Belarus.
Along with BNTU teachers, leading specialists from enterprises of various forms of ownership, involved in the development and creation of sports equipment, are involved in the educational process.
