Participants in the event “One Day in the Life of a Student” immersed themselves in the engineering, economic, architectural, and construction worlds of the university, discovering the specifics of future professions through various interactive activities.

On October 22, a workshop hosted by the company 3DHub took place at the BNTU "Digital Mechanical Engineering" Competence Center. Students and faculty from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering explored various types of 3D printing, learned how to prepare models for FDM printing using OrcaSlicer, and gained hands-on experience with a 3D laser scanner.

On October 22, the long-awaited celebration for first-year students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (MSF) — "Freshman Day 2026" — took place in the assembly hall of Building 11A. For two months, the first-year students and their academic advisors had been actively preparing for the event.

On October 13, the "Digital Mechanical Engineering" Competence Center at the BNTU Mechanical Engineering Faculty hosted a session for students from the engineering-track classes of Minsk Gymnasium No. Under the guidance of Veronika Sergeyevna Danilovich, a senior lecturer in the Department of Technological Equipment, the students designed a gear using CAD software and then examined a prototype that had been 3D-printed in advance.

Students of secondary school No. 45 in Minsk took part in a career guidance meeting with Sergei Dolgim, assistant of the Department of Machine Science and Machine Parts at BNTU. The representative acts as a liaison between the dean's office, faculty members, and the students in the group, fulfilling the functions of coordinator, organizer, and responsible executor.

On September 29–30, 2026, the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) held career guidance events for students of Secondary School No. 108 and Gymnasium No. 31 in Minsk. The students were introduced to modern digital technologies, computer modeling, prototyping, automation, and robotic manufacturing processes. Particular attention was paid to the activities of the Digital Mechanical Engineering Competence Center and the application of computer-aided design systems. As part of a practical session, the students learned the basics of creating a two-dimensional drawing in KOMPAS-3D and gained an insight into modern engineering professions.

On September 30, students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering visited the 2nd International Industrial Exhibition "INNOPROM. Belarus." "INNOPROM. Belarus" is a major forum that brought together over 360 enterprises from Belarus, Russia, and the CIS countries. The scale of the exhibition was impressive: thousands of square meters of pavilion space were occupied by the stands of industry giants such as BELAZ, MAZ, MTZ, Rostec, KAMAZ, Rosatom, and many others.
