The question "Who should I be?" suddenly becomes a real one for students in grades 10-11. The guys are on the verge of choosing a professional path. And here it is important not just to decide on a field, but to find a business so that the soul lies, and not to lose money in the labor market. Well, how can you not think about it?
On May 21 and 22, on the basis of the state educational institution Secondary School No. 5 and the state educational institution Gymnasium No. 1 in Volkovysk, students of grades 10 and 11 met with Victoria Sergeevna Mikhalchik, a graduate of the Department of Sports Engineering at the Faculty of Sports and Technology. The guest showed by personal example that sports and high technology are not two different universes at all. They can be combined, and it turns out great!
The meeting began with a brief but comprehensive introduction to the university. The graduate emphasized: "BNTU is not just the largest technical university in the country, but a place where fundamental knowledge is provided." Knowledge that becomes a reliable basis for a career. And, importantly, the emphasis was on the idea: "choosing a university is an investment in your own future." And the BNTU provides all the resources for this.
The students were told about the Sports and Technical Faculty and its specialties. The students learned with interest that future engineers here study disciplines related to the design of sports equipment and the technical support of sports facilities.
The graduate shared her personal experience of studying at the Sports and Technical Faculty. According to her, the faculty's teaching staff is a fusion of science and practice, and a unique one at that.
But what really caught the audience's attention was the story of how this knowledge, acquired during his student years, is applied in life. It turned out that video analysis can be used to accurately study athletes' movements, measure kinematic parameters, and evaluate exercise technique. High school students suddenly saw that behind modern sports there is a very difficult engineering job. It is technology that helps set new records. The event ended with a question and answer session. Every high school student could ask about what they really care about: their studies, student life, or job prospects. Live communication with a man who himself recently sat on a student's bench – this aroused genuine interest. The guys left with a clear understanding: choosing the right profession is the key to a successful future. And the BNTU is ready to help along this path.
