Preserving the accumulated experience and traditions, the faculty of the department carries out continuous training of specialists in the construction industry. The teachers of the department are constantly improving their skills, improving their skills in leading research and construction organizations of the Republic of Belarus, participating in conferences and seminars.
Highly qualified heads and specialists of departments of research institutes, leading construction organizations and ministries are also involved in teaching.
The department "Economics, organization of construction and real estate management" is a graduate and trains engineers and economists in the following specialties :
The teachers of the department conduct academic disciplines not only at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, but also at the faculties of Energy Construction, Architecture, Transport Communications and Engineering and Pedagogical. The main task of the department is to train highly qualified personnel who are able to actively participate in economic management, successfully introduce new equipment and technology, and look for ways to improve the efficiency of production processes.
The fundamental nature of the education received provides the future specialist with a depth of understanding of economic processes in construction and quick adaptation in the field of production.
In 2019, the university management decided to unite the departments of construction economics and the organization of construction and real estate management. During the reconstruction of the 15th building of the BNTU, the united department of economics, construction organization and real estate management moved to the 17th educational building of the BNTU at st. Yakub Kolas 22, a. 901,902,903,904,905.
At the department "Economics, organization of construction and real estate management" 2 republican scientific and practical conferences " Actual problems of construction economics " are annually held”, in which 60-80 students constantly take part, making presentations reflecting the most relevant topics that are typical for the construction economy of the current period. Not only students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, but also students of other universities of the Republic of Belarus (BSEU, BSU, MIU, BRGTU, GrGU) take an active part in the work of the conference. The best reports are awarded with diplomas of I, II and III degrees. As a result of the conferences, collections of articles recommended by section leaders for publication are published. Such active research work stimulates independent research work of students, forms stable skills of a scientifically based approach to information analysis, prepares speakers for a logical, consistent presentation, presentation of research results, and public defense of the results obtained.
