Alina Chechura, a 2026 graduate of the Faculty of Construction, organized the “Battle of the Faculties” and “Mr. BNTU” competitions during her studies, represented the university at the Republican New Year’s Ball for young people, and managed to work in the primary trade union organization of students. Today, she works at JSC “Stroytrest No. 3 of the Order of the October Revolution” in Soligorsk, her hometown. The girl talked about her choice of profession, student life, and her first weeks at the workplace.
Alina Chechura didn’t have any specific plans for the future. But once she ended up in the construction faculty, she immediately realized that this was her place.
“I didn’t know in advance where to apply. I studied in the physics and mathematics track and understood that I didn’t want to be a doctor or a teacher.” Later, I realized that engineering is an interesting and diverse field, and somehow, intuitively, I ended up in the construction department — and I never had a moment’s doubt that I wasn’t in the right place.
The girl’s student life was eventful: studies, friends, events. But large‑scale projects and participation in them hold a special place in her memory.
“I have a lot of great memories: there were pleasant moments during my studies, and I made many new friends whom I still keep in touch with. Every event stays in my memory forever, because it brings new knowledge and experience.” The “Spring BNTU” student creativity festival was an incredible event for every faculty: long months of preparation, performances, costumes, ideas, filming. There were also events that I organized myself: “Welcome to the Borisov Tract,” “Battle of the Faculties,” “Battle of the Six,” “Mr. BNTU” — the list could go on forever. I want to thank the university for the opportunity to attend the Republican New Year’s Ball for young people. It’s an incredible source of pride to be a participant and to represent the university at such a large‑scale and important event.
— How did you come to the position of deputy chairman of the primary trade union organization of students at the Faculty of Construction?
— The previous chairman of the primary trade union organization of students at the Faculty of Construction offered me this position and helped me channel my activity in the right direction. First and foremost, the trade union taught me how to communicate with completely different people, not to be afraid to take action, and to be able to adapt to any situation.
It is precisely this experience — the ability to work with people, to organize, and not to be afraid of difficulties — that Alina Chechura calls the main achievement of her student years. That’s why she speaks of the university not as a place where she simply earned a diploma, but as a time that gave her much more.
“I’m proud that I studied at the BNTU, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. It’s truly a university where you have the opportunity to gain good knowledge and unlock your talents. I know that I made my contribution to the development of the university and the faculty. I’m happy that I acquired my knowledge there — it was truly the best time of my life, and I’ll miss it.”
Alina Chechura noted that the main secret to successfully balancing studies, social activities, and personal life is proper planning. A clear daily schedule and sense of responsibility help you work as productively as possible, and a sincere passion for your favorite activity gives you strength and inspiration, allowing you to find time for rest, hobbies, and socializing with friends.
— Remember the moment of assignment — what feelings did you experience: excitement, hope, or confidence?
— There was no excitement during the assignment; I was just looking forward to gaining experience in real‑world production.
The choice of her first job turned out to be a conscious one: Alina Chechura wanted to return and apply her knowledge in her hometown.
— I was assigned to Soligorsk, to JSC “Stroytrest No. 3 of the Order of the October Revolution.” This is my hometown, and I wanted to come back here. I had been to this organization during my pre‑graduation internship, I was already familiar with the team and the work, so I was eagerly looking forward to starting my job.
The first days at the production site didn’t present any significant difficulties, and the support of the experienced team really helped me settle into the new place.
Despite the fact that only a short time has passed since the assignment, the young professional has already managed to make a name for themselves.
— I don’t work that much, but I’m already proving myself to be a responsible young professional: a newspaper wrote an article about me, a TV channel came to interview me, and I talked about my studies and the first weeks of work. Right now, my goal is to gain knowledge within my field of specialization and improve my skills. I have something to strive for and someone to look up to.
Among the qualities developed over the years of study, the most useful ones in the workplace turned out to be discipline, attentiveness, and professional perseverance. The graduate offers confident and kind advice to students who are about to undergo the placement procedure.
“I want to advise you not to worry and not to be afraid: you have acquired the knowledge; all that remains is to go out and apply it in practice. Yes, there is still a lot we don’t know, but everything comes with experience and time. I’m sure you will be helped and guided.”
Alina Chechura recalls the years she spent at BNTU with genuine warmth and gratitude. The solid knowledge, loyal friends, and confidence in her own abilities now help her develop in her profession and move confidently toward new successes.
