Today, on July 27, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted an open meeting on the enrollment of applicants for general higher and special higher education at the expense of the national budget based on the results of internal entrance examinations. The meeting was attended not only by representatives of the BNTU admissions committee, but also by applicants and their parents.
The Presidium included Chairman of the Admissions Committee, Rector Sergey Kharitonchik, Deputy Chairman of the Admissions Committee, First Vice-Rector Andrey Safonov and Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, Director of the Institute of Integrated Forms of Education and Monitoring Natalia Afanasyeva.
The participants of the meeting got acquainted with the reports reflecting the final results of the entrance campaign: passing scores and criteria for the selection of applicants. The final decision on admission was made by representatives of the admissions committee upon completion of the announcement of the reports.
Thus, 467 more people became students of BNTU, 107 of them enrolled in full—time education, 360 in part-time education. The most popular specialty was "management" (correspondence abbreviated form) of the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarianism, the competition for which was 5.8 people per place. The specialty with the highest passing score (347) was architecture (full-time study) at the Faculty of Architecture.
