The Faculty of Energy traces its origins back to December 1920.
In 1946, the Faculty of Energy resumed its activities with two specializations:
1. "Production and Distribution of Electrical Energy"
2. "Boiler and Thermal Engineering Installations"
During this period, two key departments were established: "Electrical Stations, Networks, and Systems," headed by Associate Professor A.I. Rutskiy, and "Boiler and Thermal Power Installations," led by Associate Professor G.I. Dobkin.
In 1949, the first group of 15 students defended their engineering theses, producing the republic's first thermal energy engineers. Subsequently, 20 more electrical engineers graduated. Since then, the faculty has continuously graduated engineers specializing in both electrical and thermal energy fields.
