BNTU is participating in the international architectural and construction exhibition “BUDEXPO”. Day 2

Представителям БНТУ на BUDEXPO вручили нагрудные знаки «За заслугi ў будаўнiцтве»

Today, on September 17, the 28th International Architectural and Construction Exhibition “BUDEXPO” continues its work in Minsk. Market leaders have gathered under one roof: the largest construction and architectural companies, as well as leading institutions of secondary specialized and higher education.

Particular attention in the exhibition’s programme is paid to the training of future personnel for the construction industry. BNTU traditionally participates actively in the event. The university’s architecture and construction faculties present their work at the booth.

As Diana Olshevskaya, a senior lecturer at the Department of Economics, Construction Organization and Real Estate Management of the construction faculty, noted, this creates an excellent effect:

“The role of our faculties at the exhibition is enormous. Since we have both architecture and construction represented at our booth, visitors have many complex questions. And, interestingly, it is parents who come to such exhibitions more often, so they can assess the prospects together with their children.” The exhibition is an ideal bridge between the university and the real sector. Here, schoolchildren can communicate directly with representatives of enterprises, find out what they do, what they produce, and who they are looking for. It is precisely this kind of live interaction that provides a powerful impetus: the students see real opportunities, and the enterprises form a pool for future targeted recruitment. We don’t just talk about specialties — we help connect the future of a young specialist with real production, noted Diana Olshevskaya, a senior lecturer at the Department of Economics, Construction Organization and Real Estate Management at the Faculty of Construction.

The participation of BNTU representatives in the exhibition was not limited to one venue. Thus, students from the architecture faculty presented their projects as part of the “ArchStart: New Generation” initiative, demonstrating how the younger generation envisions the future of urban environments.

During the exhibition, official dialogues and meetings are also held with representatives of organizations and educational institutions. As part of one of the meetings, a business session titled “Digital Tools and Methodology for End‑to‑End Management of the Life Cycle of Construction and Real Estate Projects” took place. BNTU was represented at the event by Rector Sergei Kharitonchik, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Yuri Chanturia, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Sergei Kovshar, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Natalia Shulyakovskaya, and student of the Faculty of Architecture Vladislav Kashkovsky.

An important event of the event was the awarding of BNTU employees. Thus, Anatoly Nichkasov, Chairman of the Republican Union of Builders, presented the badge “For Services in Construction” to Yuri Chanturia and Sergei Kovshar. In addition, Natalya Shulyakovskaya was awarded a special prize as part of the Year of the Belarusian Woman.

Anatoly Nichkasov also expressed gratitude to the rector for cooperation in training highly qualified personnel for the industry.

The exhibition will continue its work today until 6:00 p.m. and tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come yourself, bring friends and loved ones — don’t miss the chance to learn more about technical education and career prospects.
