Results and figures of the first day of admission

Итоги и цифры первого дня основного этапа приема

The first day of the main stage of submitting documents for study at BNTU has come to an end. This day was really lively: the corridors of the main building were filled with a friendly atmosphere, many applicants did not hide their smiles – they had already clearly defined their future profession and the fact that they would receive it at the country's leading technical university. For our part, we have summed up the first results and recorded the key figures of the starting day.

As a reminder, this year's admission targets are as follows: the total number of first-year students will be 3,828, with 3,173 of them receiving funding from the national budget. The distribution of places by form of study is as follows: 2,748 places are allocated for full-time studies, and 425 places are allocated for part-time studies. The university offers 56 different majors, which are divided among 16 faculties.

The current statistics can be found in the table below.

The number of applicants with 100-point results in the Central Examinations/Tests was 28 people. 24 graduates of engineering classes and 2 students of pedagogical classes also submitted their documents. In addition, 26 graduates of the National Children's Technology Park submitted their documents on the first day.

For example, Polina, a graduate of the National Children's Technology Park, has a wealth of achievements in scientific activities. She studied engineering ecology at the National Children's Technology Park, which influenced her choice of future profession.

— My emotions are wonderful, and I am very happy that I am applying to BNTU. I have many achievements: I often participate in various conferences, and I have many diplomas at the district, regional, and national levels. I have also participated in two sessions at the National Children's Technology Park and completed distance learning in the field of environmental engineering. I am applying for the specialty of "Environmental Audit and Environmental Quality Assurance." Based on my studies at NDT, I can say that I really liked the teachers, who explain everything very well and show it to us. I often went to open days and various career guidance events. I enjoyed the excursions where we were shown the fossil materials that are studied at BNTU. I chose BNTU because I believe it is the best university in our country.

In turn, Dmitry has a perfect score in Russian and high scores in mathematics and physics. The young man's choice of future profession was influenced by the fact that his father works at a nuclear power plant.

— When I found out about the results, I was happy because it was unexpected for me. You can't be completely sure about your admission, because no one knows what the passing scores will be this year, but I feel more confident with my results than if they were much lower, but I still need to keep an eye on the situation. I took a centralized exam in Russian and got a score of 100, a centralized test in physics — 93 points, the CE in mathematics — 98. In total, it was 387 points. I managed to reach such a result thanks to hard work and support from my parents. I worked not only at school in classes, but also studied with tutors, for which I am very grateful. I chose the specialty "Design and Operation of Nuclear Power Plants" because I am interested in energy, and I would like to work at a nuclear power plant, just like my father. I chose BNTU because it is considered the most prestigious university that trains good energy engineers.

For many people, like Tikhon, submitting documents on the first day means confidence and peace of mind. The young man decided to visit the university today in order to monitor the admission process without any worries and prepare for the entrance exams.

— I'm worried right now, my emotions are going through the roof. When you sit in this huge auditorium, everything gets mixed up in your head. I'm not completely sure about my admission, although I'm applying for an abbreviated correspondence course, but I hope that everything will work out. I decided to submit the documents on the first day, because I think there is no need to delay: all the documents have been collected and we need to act right now. It's easier to go right away, hand over the documents and calmly prepare for the entrance tests. I plan to enroll in the specialty "Information and Measurement Devices and Systems," which has two specializations, and I have applied for admission to all of them. This specialty continues my college education, and I am also interested in gaining new knowledge in this field. I chose this specialty in college because I was interested in it. I also enjoy working in this field. I believe that a higher education is always beneficial, so I decided to continue my education immediately after graduating from college. I chose BNTU because my parents worked here, and my father received his second higher education at BNTU. For me, the university is time-tested, and I am confident in the quality of the education I will receive here.

The admissions office staff is the main support for applicants during the application process. They provide information about the available programs, share insights into student life, and coordinate activities in the university buildings. Alexey Bely, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology, praised the excellent start of the admissions campaign.

— This year, we are accepting documents for two specialties: “High-Temperature Metal Processing Technologies” and “Engineering and Technical Design and Production of Materials and Products.” The first day started well, and there was a lot of interest from applicants from the very first minutes of the document submission process. Applicants are coming for both full-time and part-time education. For applicants, submitting documents on the first day is a positive step. It allows them to ensure that they have all the necessary documents and that there are no errors. This also eliminates the last-minute rush.

Marina Shpurgalova, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, shared that the career guidance work during the year was successful and a large number of familiar faces can be seen among the applicants.

— This year, we have completely closed the targeted recruitment for specialties, so we hope that this trend will continue and we will close the recruitment for full-time and part-time studies in advance. It is still very difficult to say which applicants are coming, but we have conducted a very extensive career guidance work. We saw some of the students who were the first to apply to our faculty at the open house we held recently. We also actively visited schools and colleges, and I see familiar faces in the correspondence department, where we have been talking about the benefits of studying at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. We are confident that many motivated individuals who we have already worked with will come to us.

This was the first day of submitting documents for tuition funded by the national budget. Please note that the application process for tuition funded by the national budget continues and will end on July 17. We are looking for all the guys who are ready to become high-quality engineers!
