Participants in the event “One Day in the Life of a Student” immersed themselves in the engineering, economic, architectural, and construction worlds of the university, discovering the specifics of future professions through various interactive activities.

As part of the project, students from various cities across Belarus visit the country’s leading technical university, where they learn about the available fields of study and interact with faculty members and current students.

Applicants from all over the republic familiarized themselves with the faculties of the country's leading technical university and learned about the admission rules.

In a single day — 22 October 2026 — PSF lecturers visited schools and gymnasiums in Zhodino, Smolevichi, and Minsk, where they delivered presentations on the faculty's degree programmes and held career guidance talks. Associate Professors of the Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology Elena Shcherbakova and Dmitry Balokhonov told the students about the faculty's programmes. Senior students noted that the meetings helped them take a more informed approach to choosing their future profession.

On October 13, the "Digital Mechanical Engineering" Competence Center at the BNTU Mechanical Engineering Faculty hosted a session for students from the engineering-track classes of Minsk Gymnasium No. Under the guidance of Veronika Sergeyevna Danilovich, a senior lecturer in the Department of Technological Equipment, the students designed a gear using CAD software and then examined a prototype that had been 3D-printed in advance.

FMEE's career guidance event in the town of Byaroza

Students of grades 11A, 11B, and 11D of the BNTU Lyceum visited the laboratories of the "Micro- and Nanotechnology" Department. The lyceum students not only learned the theory but also saw how atomic force microscopes work.

Students of the engineering class from Secondary School No. 5 in the city of Vitebsk visited the Instrument-Making Faculty of BNTU, where they were given a tour of the laboratories of the departments "Micro- and Nanotechnology" and "Information-Measuring Technology and Technologies." University professors and engineers introduced the students to advanced equipment and clearly demonstrated how modern technologies work at the micro- and nanoscale. Such cooperation helps schoolchildren decide on their future profession and makes science closer and more understandable.

First-year student of the Instrument-Making Faculty (IMF) Kravtsova Zhanet held a career guidance session for students of the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 72 of Gomel," continuing the university's series of meetings with schools in the region. The schoolchildren learned about admission, studying, and employment, as well as how achievements in science and technology are applied in real life. The students were particularly interested in examples of the practical application of knowledge and the prospects for the development of engineering fields.

Students of secondary school No. 45 in Minsk took part in a career guidance meeting with Sergei Dolgim, assistant of the Department of Machine Science and Machine Parts at BNTU. During the live dialogue, schoolchildren learned about the directions of university preparation, the peculiarities of admission and student life. Particular attention was paid to the issues of conscious choice of the specialty and the opportunities that BNTU opens up for future applicants. The meeting was an opportunity for high school students to look into their professional future and get answers to exciting questions firsthand.

11th-grade students from Gymnasium No. 22 in Minsk visited BNTU and took part in a workshop on programmable digital devices. Under the guidance of the department's staff, they wrote code for a microcontroller and set up the transmission of data from a temperature and humidity sensor directly to a phone.

The students will get to know the university, its faculties and specialties, meet with representatives of BNTU, attend master classes, take part in educational excursions, and receive a lot of useful information.
