Dmitry Isengaliyev, a 2024 graduate of the Energy Department at BNTU, worked in the university's volunteer squad during his student years, participated in the Republican New Year's Ball for Young People, and made friends with whom he still maintains contact. Today, the young man works at the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant.
When determining his professional trajectory, Dmitry Isengaliyev aimed to choose a university that would provide him with a high-quality technical education.
— I chose BNTU because I wanted to get a good technical education. I was interested in the specialty "Steam Turbine Plants for Nuclear Power Plants" because it is in demand and provides an opportunity to develop in an important industry for the country. During my studies, I gained the necessary knowledge and skills, so I believe that my choice was the right one.
The young man has fond memories of his student years.
— My most vivid memories are associated with my studies, preparing for exams, and interacting with my classmates. Together, we helped each other and supported each other in difficult times. I also remember the student events and the time I spent with my friends outside of school. It was at the university that I gained not only professional knowledge, but also good friends with whom I still keep in touch.
The specialized disciplines had the most significant impact on the young man's professional development, as they sparked his interest in his future profession. Speaking about his professors, Dmitry Isengaliyev shared that those who shared their practical experience and helped him better understand his field were particularly influential.
— How did you manage to combine excellent studies, social work, and your personal life? Do you have a secret for time management?
— The ability to properly distribute time helped me to combine studies, social activities, and my personal life. I tried to plan my affairs in advance and to carry out important tasks on time. I do not have a special secret for time management — the main thing is to use your time effectively.
As for student events, the most memorable event for the graduate was the Republican New Year's Ball for young people.
— Most of all, I remember participating in the Republican New Year's Ball for young people, which left pleasant impressions thanks to diligent preparation, choice of images, learning traditional ballroom dances, festive atmosphere and new acquaintances.
Working in the BNTU volunteer team gave the graduate discipline, responsibility and the ability to act in a team. He gained experience interacting with people in different situations, learned how to make quick decisions and stay calm. Now Dmitry can say for sure that an active life at the university is an advantage.
— Looking back, I believe that being an activist at the university was more of an advantage than a burden. Yes, it required time and effort, but in return, I developed my communication skills and gained experience working in a team. Additionally, it helped make my student life more vibrant and interesting.
Today, the young man advises BNTU students to try their hand at university social life, as it helps them become responsible, learn to communicate and work in a team, and make new connections and gain valuable experiences.
Dmitry Isengaliyev had already made plans for his future work while he was still a student.
— I had already planned where I would work after graduation while I was still a student. During my studies, I gained a better understanding of my field of study and made a final decision about my future career. When it came time for my distribution, I was excited but confident in my choice. I would recommend that current students explore their options in advance to find the most suitable one.
Dmitry was assigned to the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant. As the young man noted, his expectations were met, and he was able to put his knowledge into practice. This was a good start for his professional career. In his opinion, the distribution process provides an opportunity to gain first-hand experience and understand how things work in practice.
— What does it mean to be a BNTU graduate for you today? Are you proud of your alma mater?
— For me, being a BNTU graduate means having a strong engineering background and a solid foundation for my professional development. The university not only provided me with knowledge in my field, but also taught me to be responsible, disciplined, and able to solve practical problems. I am grateful to the university for the knowledge and experience I gained during my studies. I am proud of my alma mater.
Dmitry Isengaliev, a graduate of the Energy Department, is currently working at a nuclear power plant. He was not afraid of the challenging field, actively participated in university life, learned to manage his time and take responsibility, and made lifelong friends.
