BNTU Summer School. Touch the dream

Летняя школа: «Прикоснись к мечте!»

On June 22, 2020 the opening up of the BNTU Summer School - a unique program for exploring the university and its advantages. Summer school is an opportunity to determine your future and choose an interesting and successful career all over the world. If you are a foreign student, then fill in the application form for participation. 

What does the summer school include?

The school will consist of four blocks: an introduction, education, practice, cultural discovery block (introduction to the history and culture of the Republic of Belarus, master classes). We will talk about each of them in more detail.

The introduction block includes a tour of the picturesque campus of BNTU and acquaintance with its historical monuments. Participants will visit the BNTU’s Scientific Library - the largest university library in Belarus with a technical profile - as well as sports facilities of the BNTU and Polytechnic sanatorium, where students recover all year round. In addition, foreign guests will have the opportunity to chat with local students and learn about the whole extracurricular life. 

The education block consists of lectures and master classes. Participants will have a master class in Russian language from universities’ associate professors and doctors of philological sciences. After that, you will attend the BNTU Startup Center, where future young entrepreneurs’ ideas are born. There they will tell you how to start your own business at BNTU and not let down. 

As part of the practical block, program participants will visit innovative laboratories of BNTU and leading budget-forming enterprises of Belarus. At university, they will see specialized laboratories for robotics and automation, the laboratory of Itransition company, laboratories of UNESCO department “Energy Efficient Technologies and Renewable Energy Department”, the training laboratories of the department “Industrial Design and Packaging” with a master class in the specialty, as well as the design audience and 3D lab.

The BNTU Polytechnic Science and Technology Park operates in BNTU, in which scientists of the university develop and create innovative equipment. University students there realize their bold ideas with the help of production laboratories FABLAB. You will be introduced to all of these things at BNTU Summer School.

The final will be a cultural and educational unit. For guests, they organize a sightseeing bus and walking tour throughout Minsk, visiting the main attractions of the city: the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Museum of Architectural Miniatures "Country Mini", the National Library of the Republic of Belarus with a lift to the observation platform with breathtaking panorama of the whole city. At the end of the program, participants will find a culinary master-class on national Belarusian cuisine. Upon arrival, you can surprise your family and friends with new delicious dishes :) 

About format

Classes will be held in groups of 10 to 15 people. At the end of the program, participants will get a certificate of participation in the Summer School, as well as information, presentation materials and souvenirs. 

1st arrival: 06/22/2020 - 06/28/2020

The deadline for applications is until 01.06.2020 

2nd arrival: 07/06/2020 - 07/12/2020

Deadline for applications - until 07/15/2020 

3rd arrival: 08/13/2020 - 08/19/2020

Deadline for applications - until 07.20.2020 

The duration of the program is 7 days.

What is included in the price?

  • expenses of the organizer for the preparation and implementation of the program;
  • meeting participants at the airport;
  • transfer to the place of living;
  • transfer to the program events’ places;
  • registration of invitations (applications) for receiving participants visas (if necessary);
  • accommodation in comfortable hostels of BNTU (in each room there is a shower, a bathroom, a refrigerator, free Wi-Fi, a kitchen unit).

What to pay for yourself?

  • health insurance;
  • registration in the territory of the Republic of Belarus (if necessary);
  • travel and meals.
