BNTU and TSTU expand joint engineering training

БНТУ и ТГТУ расширяют совместную подготовку инженеров

Today, August 21, a delegation from the Belarusian National Technical University visited the Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University. The purpose of the visit was to develop new strategic solutions for improving the quality of engineering training and scaling up the successful experience of joint projects.

During the meeting, representatives of the Belarusian university—Pavel Shirvel, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation, and Elena Khodan, Director of the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications—and a TSTU delegation led by Rector Sadritdin Turabjanov discussed adapting joint educational programs to modern realities.

The main focus was on developing dual education. It is planned that this will make it easier for students to combine their studies with internships at leading industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan. Furthermore, the universities agreed to synchronize their educational systems and mutually recognize academic modules. This will make academic mobility between Minsk and Tashkent even more convenient. Given the rapid development of local industry, BNTU is also ready to offer new training programs in automation, robotics, and digital manufacturing.

During the meeting, the Uzbek side highly praised the quality of Belarusian education. The TSTU rector noted that graduates of joint programs demonstrate deep technical knowledge and are able to quickly integrate into real-world work processes.

For the Belarusian university, cooperation with Uzbekistan has long gone beyond simply exporting educational services. This strategic partnership once again confirms that BNTU, together with its international colleagues, is creating a modern educational environment that trains sought-after engineers for the economies of both countries.
