According to the NGO "Belaya Rus" BNTU was established on January 4, 2008 at the constituent assembly of the university. K.I. Balandin, Vice-rector, Head of the Department of History, World and National Culture, was elected Chairman of the Council for the NGO "Belaya Rus" of BNTU. The Council for the NGO "Belaya Rus" of BNTU included Dean of the MSF Yakimovich A.M., Dean of the FES Bogoslavchik P.M., Chairman of the trade union committee of BNTU workers Rukhlya I.E., head of the PES Rybalko A.N.., secretary FOR the NGO BRSM Chechukevich Yu.V.
The elected Council has worked hard to increase the number of members of the NGO "Belaya Rus" BNTU. By the end of 2008, the organization already had 400 employees. About 40 members of the NGO "Belaya Rus" BNTU were activists of the NGO BRSM. The members of the NGO "Belaya Rus" BNTU showed samples of job performance at their workplaces.
Members of the NGO "Belaya Rus", together with the NGO "BRSM" and the students' NGO, took an active part in organizing and holding republican patriotic actions: "I am a citizen of the Republic of Belarus", "I am ready to defend the Fatherland", "Quiet Belarus!", "Agit Train", "Flowers of the Great Victory!", "I I remember! I am proud!", "I love Belarus", a visit to the historical and cultural complex "Stalin's Line", etc.
Members of the NGO "Belaya Rus" together with the NGO "BRSM" take part in the cleaning and landscaping of the cemetery "Military", as well as in the campaign "Belaya Rus – decorates Belarus."
According to the NGO "Belaya Rus", BNTU actively participates in the "Belarusian Republican League of Debates", which is an initiative of the NGO "Belaya Rus". The project is being implemented jointly with educational institutions and other structures with the support of relevant ministries and was created with the aim of forming a future reserve of personnel for government organizations and public structures from initiative young people. A Debate Club has been established at BNTU.
In 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2024, reporting and election conferences on the NGO "Belaya Rus" BNTU were held, at which the results of the work for the reporting period were summarized and tasks for the next years were outlined.
According to the results of the review competition in 2023-2024, the primary organization of the Belarusian National Technical University was awarded the title "The best primary organization of Belaya Rus among institutions of higher and postgraduate education" for the best work in the organizational structures of the Belaya Rus Soviet District Organization in Minsk.
As of 01.01.2024, there are 444 people registered at the BNTU of the NGO "Belaya Rus", including the rector and vice-rectors of the university, deans and heads of departments, heads of structural divisions, teaching staff and teaching support staff, and representatives of students and youth public associations. The Belaya Rus branch of the BNTU includes 9 affiliated colleges. The total number of members of the NGO "Belaya Rus" in the BNTU is 723 people.
Since January 2008, K.I. Balandin, Vice-rector of BNTU, has been elected Chairman of the Council for the NGO "Belaya Rus" of BNTU, since 2014 – Vice–rector of BNTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences Lovshenko G.F., since 2016 - Vice-rector of BNTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences Bakhanovich A.G., from 2022 to 2023 - Vice-rector of BNTU, Candidate of Technical Sciences Kurakova A.P., from 2024 – Vice-rector for Educational Work at BNTU, Candidate of Technical Sciences Matyushinets T. V.
