Formation and Leadership:
The "Belaya Rus" Primary Organization at the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) was established on January 4, 2008, during the university's founding meeting. The Council Chairman of the BNTU "Belaya Rus" Primary Organization was elected to be K.I. Balandin, Vice-Rector and Head of the Department of History, World, and National Culture. The Council members included A.M. Yakimovich, Dean of MSF; P.M. Bogoslavchik, Dean of FES; I.E. Rukhlya, Chair of the BNTU Workers' Union; A.N. Rybalko, Head of PEO; and Yu.V. Chechukevich, Secretary of the "BRSM" Primary Organization.
Membership Growth:
The elected Council worked diligently to increase the membership of the BNTU "Belaya Rus" Primary Organization. By the end of 2008, the organization had grown to 400 members, including about 40 activists from the "BRSM" organization. Members of the BNTU "Belaya Rus" Primary Organization demonstrated exemplary performance in their professional duties.
Participation in National Patriotic Activities:
Members of "Belaya Rus," in collaboration with the "BRSM" and the Students' Trade Union, actively participated in organizing and conducting national patriotic events such as "I am a Citizen of the Republic of Belarus," "Ready to Defend the Motherland," "Bloom, Belarus!," "Agit Train," "Flowers of the Great Victory!," "I Remember! I am Proud!," "I Love Belarus," and excursions to the historical and cultural complex "Stalin Line," among others.
Community Engagement:
Members of "Belaya Rus," alongside "BRSM," participated in cleaning and beautifying the "Military" cemetery and in the "Belaya Rus Beautifies Belarus" campaign.
Engagement in the Belarusian Republican Debate League:
The BNTU "Belaya Rus" Primary Organization is actively involved in the "Belarusian Republican Debate League," an initiative by "Belaya Rus." This project, implemented in cooperation with educational institutions and other organizations, and supported by relevant ministries, aims to develop a future cadre reserve for government organizations and public structures from among proactive young individuals. A Debate Club has been established at BNTU.
Reporting and Elections:
In 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2024, the BNTU "Belaya Rus" Primary Organization held reporting and election conferences, where the achievements of the reporting period were reviewed, and objectives for the coming years were set.
Recognition:
Based on the results of the 2023-2024 competition for the best organizational practices among the Soviet District organizations in Minsk, the BNTU "Belaya Rus" Primary Organization was awarded the title of "Best Primary Organization 'Belaya Rus'" among higher and postgraduate education institutions.
Current Membership:
As of January 1, 2024, the BNTU "Belaya Rus" Primary Organization has 444 members, including the Rector, Vice-Rectors, Deans, Department Heads, structural unit leaders, faculty members, educational support staff, and representatives of students and youth organizations. The BNTU "Belaya Rus" Primary Organization includes nine college branches, with a total membership of 723 individuals within BNTU.
