Today, on September 24, BNTU hosted a large‑scale event for first‑year students — “PolyQuest” — which allowed the newly arrived students to appreciate the scale of the campus.
For reference: the “PolyQuest” presentation event was organized by the BNTU Student Council to facilitate the successful adaptation of first‑year students, as well as to promote the traditions and achievements of BNTU and to engage first‑year students in active social activities at the university.
During the game, the teams followed the routes indicated on the maps, completing tasks that tested their erudition, speed, and ability to work in a team. Each task was dedicated to the engineering fields of one of the faculties of BNTU.
The participants had to demonstrate their wit and team spirit at various stages: match rock samples with their names, assemble a “gears” puzzle, guess objects by touch in a black box, and use gestures and body movements to show architectural landmarks of Belarus. Each task required coordinated work and a good understanding of the specifics of their faculty.
Traditionally, students from the BNTU Lyceum also took part in the quest, and along with the student teams, they successfully completed all the quest challenges.
After the game, a solemn summary of the quest results was held. At the closing ceremony, students were greeted by Timur Matushinets, Vice‑Rector for Ideological and Educational Work, and Irina Gud, Head of the Center for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs.
The event also included a summary of the competition results. The prize‑winning places were distributed as follows:
1st place — Military‑Technical Faculty;
2nd place — Mechanical Engineering Faculty;
3rd place — Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics.
