From 22 to 25 September 2026, Perm (Russian Federation) is hosting the 19th international exhibition of modern technologies, equipment and materials for mechanical engineering, the metalworking industry, and preparatory and foundry production, titled "Metalworking. Metallurgy". This is the largest industry event in the Volga Federal District, bringing together specialists in mechanical engineering, metalworking, welding, and preparatory and foundry production. The stands feature more than 300 pieces of modern equipment, with key market players among the exhibitors. Technical specialists from participating companies are holding consultations and demonstrations and discussing the implementation and compatibility of systems.

Background. Perm Krai is one of Russia's leading industrial regions, with a high GRP. Its economy is based on chemicals, oil refining, mechanical engineering and metallurgy (including global leadership in potash salt extraction).
Belarus is a key partner of the Kama region: according to the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as of December 2025 it ranks second in trade turnover after China. Moreover, cooperation has moved beyond simple trade and now rests on five pillars: trade turnover, industrial cooperation, the agro-industrial complex, business support through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Export Centre, and workforce training. This already involves joint production chains and direct B2B ties.
The trade structure is logical: chemicals, rubber, equipment and timber from Perm Krai; industrial goods, food, construction materials, trucks, special-purpose vehicles and road machinery from Belarus. The most promising areas for 2025–2026 are mechanical engineering, chemicals, robotisation, forestry and the agro-industrial complex.
The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus is presenting around 40 innovative developments. In particular, the collective stand of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, organised by the Belarusian National Technical University, featured innovative developments by BNTU (including the BNTU Science and Technology Park "Polytechnic"), Belarusian State University, the Belarusian-Russian University, and Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.
The business programme includes industrial conferences with the participation of experts at the national and regional levels.
