A BNTU delegation consisting of Alexander Svistun, Dean of the Instrument-Making Faculty; Olga Reutskaya, Head of the Department of Experimental and Theoretical Physics of the Instrument-Making Faculty; Natalia Riznookaya, Associate Professor of the Department of Information and Measuring Equipment of the Instrument-Making Faculty; Olga Yatskevich, Professor of the Department of Technological Equipment of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty; and Andrey Gorbunov, Senior Researcher of the Industry Research Laboratory of Plasma and Laser Technologies of the BNTU NIPI branch, took part on 17–18 September 2026, at the invitation of Harbin Polytechnic University, in the China–Belarus Forum on Scientific and Technological Innovation in High-Tech Equipment and Intelligent Manufacturing held in Chongqing (PRC).
The purpose of the event is to develop BNTU's scientific and technical cooperation with higher education institutions of the People's Republic of China in priority areas.
BNTU staff took part in the grand opening ceremony of the event, as well as in the forum's work, and delivered presentations on the university's scientific developments.
They discussed strategic partnership issues with representatives of the Chongqing Research Institute of Harbin Polytechnic University. During the visit and tours of the laboratories, the main areas of interaction and strategic partnership with BNTU were outlined.
For reference: The Chongqing Research Institute is one of the five branches of Harbin Polytechnic University operating in the PRC and has been working in Chongqing since 2020.
