Today, September 23, a friendly futsal tournament took place in the sports hall of Building 11b. The match served as a great early celebration for the upcoming professional holiday—Machine Builder's Day. The teams facing off on the court were the squad from the Belarusian National Technical University’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the team from the company JSC AMKODOR.
Such gatherings have long been a tradition for the university; JSC AMKODOR is a key partner of the faculty, and students frequently complete their industrial internships there. Today, however, the participants put aside their blueprints and complex technical challenges, swapped their formal attire for sportswear, and took to the court.
The players set a high pace right from the start. The rivals exchanged quick passes, broke through defenses, and fought for possession until the very last second. Neither side wanted to back down, resulting in a match filled with impressive attacks and dangerous scoring opportunities—a truly exciting and dynamic game.
MSF student Daniil Yevzhik was pleased with the level of competition and shared his impressions of the match:
"It was a real pleasure to step onto the court against strong opponents and play an energetic game of football. Honestly, a match against engineers isn't much different from a standard tournament; after all, you’ll find sports enthusiasts in any group of people. Playing against experienced professionals is incredibly interesting. Of course, winning is always important to me personally, but if you don't enjoy the game itself, you’re unlikely to truly appreciate the final result. Football brings people together; the main thing is simply loving the sport."
After the final whistle, the participants shook hands and thanked their opponents for a fair contest. The match ended on a positive and friendly note. We thank the teams for an excellent game and congratulate the students and industry professionals on their upcoming professional holiday!
