Today, September 22, a working meeting took place at the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) with a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The visit marked a significant step in developing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, whose relationship has recently reached a fundamentally new level.
The Myanmar delegation included the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Maung Maung Soe, and Counselor Soe Pyae Win. Representing BNTU in the discussions were Rector Sergei Kharitonchik, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Nikolaichik, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation Pavel Shirvel, and Inna Khatskevich, Head of the Department of International Marketing of Educational Services and Work with International Students.
During the meeting, BNTU representatives provided a detailed overview of the university's international activities. They presented data on the current number of international students and the total number of international alumni. Particular emphasis was placed on the university's latest scientific discoveries and developments. Furthermore, the BNTU representatives highlighted the various modes of study available—including distance learning—and outlined opportunities for studying the Russian and English languages.
Following the presentation, members of the foreign delegation expressed their intention to visit the university again soon to gain a more in-depth understanding of the institution. The Ambassador also expressed interest in establishing academic exchange programs between BNTU and universities in Myanmar. The meeting was conducted in a constructive and professional atmosphere.
