On December 4, trilateral negotiations took place at the Belarusian National Technical University, the participants of which were representatives of the leading provider of transnational education in Sri Lanka AIC Campus (read more about cooperation with the Republic of Sri Lanka here), as well as the deputy director of international reception and the manager of the international department Montpellier Business School, Mrs. Gaelle Marie Anginalric.

From the Belarusian side, the first vice-rector of BNTU Georgy Aleksandrovich Vershina, director of the international institute of distance education Igor Abuzarovich Satikov and his deputy Marina Aleksandrovna Sednina, the head of the department of international cooperation and foreign economic activity of BNTU Pavel Ivanovich Shirvel, the head of the Department of international marketing of educational services Natalya Ivanovna Shishlo, Deputy Head of the Department of International Programs and Exchanges Olga Valeryevna Gaychuk, Dean of the Faculty of Marketing, Management and Entrepreneurship BNTU Alexey Vasilievich Danilchenko attended the negotiations. Communication of delegates took place with the participation of an interpreter.

Montpellier is located in southern France, 10 km from the Mediterranean coast. According to Ms. Gaelle Marie Anginalric, more students live in Montpellier than in any other city in France. And no wonder, because there are comfortable conditions for young people to live and study. The average living wage of a student is 650 euros per month.

The manager of the international development department made a presentation of the business school. BNTU representatives asked questions that were of interest to them, made comparisons between the organization of the educational process in France and Belarus. In many aspects, they are similar, but there is something we can learn from. For example, on the basis of the Montpellier institution of higher education, there is a platform where students can communicate with potential employers. That is why 70% of students are employed in the partner companies of the school even before graduation.

“I was struck by how vast your university’s campus is,” - Ms. Gael Marie Anginalric said in an interview with The Times. “My main mission here is to establish closer cooperation between your university, AIC Campus and the Montpellier business school, and of course interest the students”.

Ms. Gael Marie Anginalric is for the first time in Minsk. The representative of the business school noted that it is cold and damp, but she certainly likes the city. In her free time, Gael Marie Anginalric will definitely explore the sights of the Belarusian capital.

Requirements

Would you like to attend a business school in France? Firstly, you need to confirm your knowledge of English, a level of at least B2. And for this it is not necessary to take an international exam, it is enough to take an online test on the website of the business school. Secondly, you must have a complete secondary education. Translations of certificate and grade book are provided. And thirdly, it is necessary to pass an interview and a test for logical thinking.

How much does the studying cost?

If you are a bachelor, a year of study at the Montpellier business school will cost 10,900 euros, for admission to the magistracy - 12,500 euros per year, and 13,900 euros for the year of study, if you want to get the title of Master of Science. All programs are available in both French and English.

Ms. Gael Marie Anginalric agreed with the remark that studying at a business school is rather expensive for Belarusian students. She said that she understands that not everyone has the financial opportunity to enter Montpellier. The deputy director also noted that every year several Belarusians study at the Montpellier business school, but they go there on their own, and not through international programs.

“Within the framework of these negotiations, we were talking about foreign students, as for Belarusian citizens, this is only a prospect. If young people have a desire to participate in this program, they will bear all financial costs on their own, ” - the First Vice-Rector of BNTU clarified our questions.

The parties also discussed the possibility of transferring the agreed details to the legal plane and signing the agreement.
