17.06.2026 on the territory of the Student Village the Solemn Ceremony of Planting the Alley of Friendship of the SCO Member States, timed to the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, in which students of the Faculty of International Cooperation of BNTU from the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China took part, was held. The event took place within the framework of the tenth Meeting of Ministers of Education of the SCO countries.
The Minister of Education of Belarus, Andrei Ivanets, delivered a welcoming speech. He noted that the Student Village unites more than 10,000 students, more than half of whom are foreign students from 110 countries around the world, and emphasized that Belarus is deeply grateful to all countries that entrust their most valuable assets, their youth, to Belarus in order to train professionals and high-quality specialists.
The ceremony culminated in the planting of trees, where the heads of delegations planted saplings and unveiled a commemorative sign for the new avenue.
– We felt like we were one team. I think this alley will now be the most popular place for students to walk, – said one of the FMS international students.
Each tree planted is not only a tribute to the organization’s 25-year history, but also an investment in its future. The new alley in the Student Village will now serve as a reminder of friendship, culture, and good neighborliness!
