From July 6 to 10, Mikhail Samuilovich Krakov, Professor at the Department of Energy Saving and Renewable Energy Sources at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Belarusian National Technical University, participated in the 17th International Conference on Magnetic Fluids

On May 25 and 27, 2026, the 82nd Student Scientific and Technical Conference was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of BNTU. Thirty-seven undergraduate and graduate students presented 41 papers in the "Metal-Cutting Machines and Tools" section of the Department of Technological Equipment. The focus was not only on classic issues of shaping and tooling, but also on the use of artificial intelligence for semantic patent search, additive manufacturing, digital twins, and modern pneumatic and hydraulic drives. As usual, the abstracts of the papers will be included in the proceedings of the 82nd Student Scientific and Technical Conference.

Over a hundred students from five faculties presented 57 reports across three subsections — from classical mechanics to artificial intelligence in engineering.

The event became an important platform for the exchange of experience between representatives of industry, academia, and university research.

About 120 students, master's students, and postgraduate students from five faculties, as well as 10 faculty members, took part in the event.

The conference demonstrated the high level of training of young specialists and their readiness to implement innovations in the geodetic industry.

As part of the 25th International Scientific and Technical Conference "Water. Gas. Heat. 2026," participants discussed modern methods of teaching foreign languages ​​and the use of neural networks in the educational process.

At the plenary sessions of the conference, scientists, educators and industry workers discussed the digitalization of water supply, the use of new materials, renewable energy, as well as practical cases of boiler automation, in-pipe diagnostics, BIM technologies and artificial intelligence in the gas industry.

The presentations covered issues of creating digital twins, using BIM models, point cloud analysis, the application of virtual and augmented reality, as well as the use of AI, assistants, agents, and neural networks related to BIM technologies.

The Department of English Language No. 1 hosted an inter-university student scientific and practical conference, "Knowledge of a foreign language as a key factor for working in innovative conditions," with English as the working language.

The conference became a platform for exchanging experiences, discussing best practices, and developing effective solutions related to the use of welding equipment.

Participation in the conference was diverse, as the presentations addressed current issues in both theoretical and practical contexts.

The conference was held at the Department of Mathematical Methods in Construction within the framework of the forum Modern Trends in the Design, Construction, Repair and Maintenance of Transport Facilities.

The event was held in a mixed format, combining in-person and online participation.

At the conference, students of the preparatory department discussed the relationship between exact sciences, humanities, art and architecture.
