On September 11, first‑year students from Turkmenistan visited the «Chinese Goods and Services» exhibition at the BelExpo exhibition complex, which was dedicated to the Year of Industrial Cooperation between China and Belarus.
The exhibition became a prominent event that brought together leading Chinese companies and manufacturers operating in various industries: from mechanical engineering and electronics to light industry and agriculture. Students were able to familiarize themselves with modern examples of equipment, innovative developments, as well as products that are already successfully exported to Belarus and other countries. According to one student:
– I had no idea that China had made such progress in industry. This motivates me to study harder so that I can participate in such projects in the future.
The stands featuring robotics, electronics, and automotive engineering aroused particular interest among the freshmen. Many saw for the first time in person samples of Chinese industrial products that they had previously only heard about or read about.
On September 17, students from the ICF visited the 28th International Architecture and Construction Exhibition BUDEXPO, which has traditionally become the largest exhibition project in the construction sector in the Republic of Belarus.
The exhibition was a diverse platform that brought together several thematic areas: modern construction and finishing materials, tools and equipment, frame and wooden house construction, and innovative developments in architecture and urban planning. Students were particularly interested in the expositions featuring models of residential buildings and social facilities, including schools, as well as in the meticulously detailed architectural drawings and future projects. As one of the students present noted:
– This is my first time at such a large‑scale event. I was especially surprised by the models of schools and kindergartens. You can immediately see how much work and effort have been put into each project.
The best student works by BNTU presented at the exhibition deserved special attention. These projects, which demonstrate a modern approach to organizing a comfortable urban environment and creating affordable housing, became a real source of inspiration, motivating the students to develop new creative ideas and achieve professional success.
The exhibition’s rich business programme, which included master classes, discussions and presentations of innovative construction technologies, allowed students not only to get acquainted with the latest trends in architecture and construction but also to gain valuable knowledge that will certainly be useful in their future professional activities.
