On September 18, 2026, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering hosted the "MSF PolyQuest 2026" event on the BNTU campus. It was a vibrant, energetic, and quintessentially student-style morning for the freshmen; the event brought together all first-year students from the faculty, marking their first step into active university life.
Twelve student groups participated, accompanied by their student mentors. The students prepared creative costumes and group flags. The route comprised 12 stations scattered across the campus, where participants could showcase their intellectual, athletic, artistic, and musical talents. At the conclusion of the event, the winners received certificates and prizes.
The top-performing groups were:
• First place – 10303226;
• Second place – 10302126;
• Third place – 10301326.
"Our group decided to dress up as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the event—and that added a special thrill to the day! The quest turned into a real adventure across the BNTU campus; it was a fantastic opportunity to explore the grounds and strengthen our team spirit. The task that got the biggest reaction was retrieving a piece of candy from a pile of flour without using our hands—the whole team was laughing! Even though we didn't take first place, what mattered most were the vivid emotions, valuable experience, and wealth of impressions. The quest really brings people together and reveals everyone's hidden talents!" shared Vladislav Levshuk, a student from group 10301226.
"The PolyQuest was a resounding success! I’d note that despite the slow start to the morning, the teams quickly got into the swing of things. A key highlight was the participants' genuine enthusiasm and engagement. The costumes and the effort the teams put into their preparation deserve special mention." "As the mentor for group 10305226, I am proud of you all; you demonstrated teamwork and mutual support, and you brought incredible energy and enthusiasm to the event. I consider it a success: everyone put in the effort, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the level of organization and engagement was impressive," commented Dmitry Korenevsky, the student mentor for group 10305226.
For the first-year students, the "MSF PolyQuest" was more than just a competition—it was their first step into student life, offering new friendships, a taste of the faculty atmosphere, and a boost of energy for the year ahead. Yet, this is just one part of the "Freshman 2026" program; more events lie ahead that are sure to surprise and inspire MSF students.
