From April 6 to April 10, 2026, in the cities of Dushanbe, Khujand, and the Dangara district (Republic of Tajikistan), Olga Dashkevich, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation (hereinafter – FIC) and Dean of the BNTU-TTU Joint Faculty, and Natalia Byteva, Specialist of the International Educational Services Marketing and International Student Support Department of the FIC, are taking part in the III International Festival-Exhibition of Foreign Universities "Tajikistan-2026".
The goals of the event are to showcase achievements in higher education, attract public interest to leading universities from various countries, and inform Tajik citizens about current areas of study and conditions of study at the participating higher education institutions.
On the opening day of the festival-exhibition, presentations were given by leading higher education institutions from the participating countries, and a meeting was held with Mansuri Dilrab Saiduello, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Rahim Saidozoda, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event was also attended by heads of diplomatic missions from several states, including the ambassadors of the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Japan, India, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the People's Republic of China, as well as representatives from the European Union and Qatar.
During the presentation of BNTU’s educational potential, Mansuri Dilrab Saiduello, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, highlighted the importance of training personnel through joint educational programs and expressed hope that Belarusian students would soon be able to come to the Republic of Tajikistan as part of these joint educational programs.
BNTU’s participation in the III International Festival-Exhibition of Foreign Universities aims to develop academic mobility, attract foreign citizens to general and specialized higher education programs, including joint educational programs with the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M. S. Osimi (Dushanbe), and to strengthen international relations in the field of education.
The festival program included conversations with prospective students, their parents, and teachers, press conferences, and roundtable discussions. Notably, young people showed significant interest in BNTU's specializations in architecture, economics, construction, energy, IT, and robotics.
To facilitate expanded cooperation regarding the education of students from joint educational programs at BNTU, a meeting took place on April 7, 2026, between Olga Dashkevich, Dean of the BNTU-TTU Joint Faculty, and Nazir Shamir Vazirzoda, Vice-Rector for Socio-Economic Affairs of TTU, Iftikhor Imomyorbekovich Kalandarbekov, Dean of the BNTU-TTU Faculty from the Tajik side, and TTU faculty members.
The event participants were presented with the advantages of continuing their education at BNTU for Tajik citizens. After the meeting, students and faculty actively asked questions about the education system of the Republic of Belarus and students' extracurricular activities.
Following the meeting, students and faculty members of the "Architecture" specialization presented an exhibition of coursework projects and creative works to Olga Dashkevich.
For reference: Tajik applicants can receive education in many BNTU specializations by enrolling in the joint engineering and technical faculty of BNTU and the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M. S. Osimi (Dushanbe), which has been operating since 2012.
