Students from specialized classes at the UOSO at the open day of the Department of Professional Education and Pedagogy

On March 14, 2026, an open day of the Department of Professional Training and Pedagogy was organized and held at the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogics. The purpose of the day was to present the general higher education specialty 6-05-0719-01 "Engineering and Pedagogical Activity" to students of specialized pedagogical and engineering classes of secondary schools and gymnasiums in Minsk .

Participants included teachers and students of the 10th and 11th grades of specialized classes of the UOSO (engineering and pedagogical classes), and parents.

Department Head Anna Romanova , Senior Lecturer Irina Ignatkovich , and Department Lecturers Anastasia Savras, Ales Kravtsov, and Mikhail Kuzemko spoke to the audience about the admissions process at the Belarusian National Technical University, the 6-05-0719-01 "Engineering and Pedagogical Activity" major, the learning process, and employment prospects. Also presenting the major was Ekaterina Krasnikova , a 2025 graduate of the department who served as the faculty's ambassador for four years of study. She spoke about the specifics of mastering a vocational profession through online interaction during her studies in this major.

For reference . In 2026, the Department of Professional Education and Pedagogy is recruiting students for the specialty 6-05-0719-01 "Engineering and Pedagogical Activity" (DFPO specializations: mechanical engineering, construction, electric power engineering; ZFPO specializations: mechanical engineering, construction) with the qualification "Engineer. Teacher".

Graduates of specialized classes at the UOSO (engineering and pedagogical classes) are eligible to enroll in full-time education based on an interview. The course of study will be four years. College graduates who have obtained a specialty in SSO are eligible to enroll in a part-time program, which is a shortened integrated program, meaning the course of study will be three years.

Traditionally, our graduates work as industrial training instructors, general and specialized subject teachers in colleges, and lecturers at higher education institutions. However, starting in 2026, they will also have the opportunity to work as engineers at companies in their respective fields.

 

Valeria Sinko, a student in group 10903124 at the Institute of Applied Physics (IPF), helped conduct a quick survey about future careers at the Belarusian National Technical University (INF). Based on the survey's results, the most active students received commemorative prizes with the university logo. Additionally, students and their parents were invited to attend the BNTU Open Day on March 21 .
