On September 2 and 3, the Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics of BNTU held dialogue sessions for first-year students titled “Dean’s Office in Touch: Student Rights and Responsibilities.” The meetings helped students become familiar with the rules of university life and important aspects of the educational process.
The sessions were organized by Deputy Dean Bazhena Badak and Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work Yevgeny Rabilko.
In an open dialogue format, the participants discussed students’ rights and responsibilities, BNTU’s Internal Regulations, academic discipline requirements, and liability for violations.
The freshmen were informed about opportunities to receive benefits, take academic leave, retake examinations, and other aspects of the educational process.
A special guest at the meetings was Elena Bulko, an inspector for juvenile affairs at the Department of Internal Affairs of the Administration of the Sovetsky District of Minsk. She explained the provisions of administrative and criminal law and, using practical examples, spoke about the consequences of unlawful actions.
The dialogue sessions were held in an open and constructive atmosphere. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss specific situations, and receive professional explanations from specialists.
The “Dean’s Office in Touch” meetings demonstrated that legal awareness, responsibility, and respect for established rules are important components of student life.
