A student magazine isn't just text and pictures—it's the people who pour their energy, emotions, and time into it. The quality of the content and the overall vibe of the entire faculty depend on who's behind the lens and who writes the posts.
That's exactly why refreshing the team is such an important event. When new people with fire in their eyes join us, the magazine comes alive, becoming closer, brighter, and more honest.
Our team continues to grow. We've been joined by two talented individuals—a photographer and a PR manager. We spoke with them about how they got into the magazine, what inspires them, and how they see the future of "PSFushka."
Meet Margarita and Dmitry—the new faces of our team!
Margarita Tolkacheva: "University life should be filled not only with studying but also with bright moments"
— First, tell us a little about yourself.
— My name is Margarita. I'm a student at the Instrument-Making Faculty, majoring in Metrology, Standardization, and Quality Control. I'm a creative, energetic, and active person. I'm not used to sitting still—I always want to try something new.
— How did you end up at the "PSFushka" magazine? What was the starting point?
— At the beginning of the year, I started actively participating in faculty life—attending various events and seeking out new connections. The magazine team noticed me and invited me to join the editorial staff. And I gladly agreed!
— What goals are you setting for yourself as a PR manager in the near future? What's your focus right now?
— In the near future, our main focus is on helping first-year students adapt. We need to help them settle in and show them that the faculty is not just about studying—it's about life, about people, about opportunities. We want every first-year student to feel like part of our big team from day one. That's why it's important right now to talk about student life in a vivid, honest, and clear way.
— What prospects do you see for yourself in the magazine?
— The magazine is an opportunity to try something new, learn something useful, and meet interesting people. Through the magazine, you learn how to work with information and find common ground with different people.
— What were your first impressions of the magazine?
— The magazine revealed a whole new side of our faculty to me. I'm always up to date with the news, and thanks to that, I manage to make the most of all the interesting things student life has to offer.
— What advice would you give to our readers? How can they make their student life brighter?
— Guys, don't stay on the sidelines! Get involved in faculty life, join projects, come to events. Follow our social media! University life should be filled not only with studying but also with bright moments.
Dmitry Kudelich: "If you love something—do it with all your heart, even if things don't work out at first"
— First, tell us a little about yourself.
— My name is Dima. I'm originally from the city of Pinsk. I'm studying in the major "Technical Security Systems." In my free time, I enjoy photography and painting.
— Tell us, how did your journey into photography begin? Was it a hobby that grew into something more, or a conscious choice?
— It all started in childhood, when my parents and I went on trips to the sea. That's where I first held a camera in my hands and never let go of it for a second. As I grew older, I realized that my passion for photography hadn't gone anywhere. One day, I saw a small camera, bought it without hesitation, and now I carry it with me like a lucky charm. I suppose this path into photography was a completely conscious choice.
— What do you think is the biggest challenge in shooting student events? And what brings you the most joy in this work?
— The biggest challenge, in my opinion, is lighting. Sometimes it's hard to find the right angle given the available light. What brings me joy, though, is capturing quality shots of our beloved students and catching their genuine emotions.
— What prospects do you see for yourself in the magazine?
— In the long run, I see both personal growth as a photographer and the opportunity to help promote the magazine to a wider audience.
— What were your first impressions of the magazine?
— My first impressions are exclusively positive. I saw a tight-knit team that is passionate about what they do. You can feel a lively, friendly atmosphere where you want to create.
— What advice would you give to our readers? How can they make their student life brighter?
— I advise you not to be afraid to try new things and to find yourself in creative work. If you love something—do it with all your heart, even if things don't work out at first. And of course, look around you more often: the most interesting moments often happen right nearby—the main thing is to notice them in time and, perhaps, capture them on camera or in your memory.
The "PSFushka" team is growing, and with it, so are the ideas and sources of inspiration. Margarita and Dima have already brought fresh energy and a new perspective on familiar things. We're glad they're now with us.
