Today, on February 29, the Belarusian National Technical University held a working meeting between representatives of our university and Pskov State University. The topic of discussion was the program for the development of the Advanced Engineering School of hybrid technologies in the machine tool industry of the Union State. It should be noted that this is the third meeting of the BNTU–Pskov State University working group.
For reference: The Advanced Engineering School of BNTU and Pskov State University focuses on the revival of the machine tool industry of the Union State. Its goal is to train an intersectoral engineer capable of creating new knowledge, technologies and products in the interests of high-tech sectors of the economy.

Pskov State University was represented by Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Taras Antal and Head of the Department Advanced Engineering School, Dmitry Grinev.

BNTU representatives attended the meeting by Ksenia Yakushenko, Vice-Rector for Research, Oleg Devoino, Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and Viktor Kusyak, Deputy Director of the branch of BNTU “Research Polytechnic Institute”.

The parties discussed the results of defense of the joint project at a meeting of the Council on grants for the provision of state support for the creation and development of the Advanced Engineering School, and also presented their vision of new educational and scientific areas of cooperation.

In addition, within the framework of the meeting, negotiations were held on the topic of interaction with the industrial partner of the Advanced Engineering School of “Ruchservomotor” and the creation of a key project of Advanced Engineering schools – a hybrid processing center.
For reference: the latest achievements in the development of a hybrid processing center is the creation of its digital counterpart, on which virtual tests of technological operating modes were carried out.Based on the results of virtual tests, changes were made to the design of the hybrid machining center and design documentation with the letter "O1" was developed.

We thank the representatives of Pskov State University for a productive meeting and wish them success in their current research.
