On September 30, students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering visited the 2nd International Industrial Exhibition "INNOPROM. Belarus."
"INNOPROM. Belarus" is a major forum that brought together over 360 enterprises from Belarus, Russia, and the CIS. The scale of the exhibition was impressive: thousands of square meters of pavilion space were occupied by the stands of industry giants such as BELAZ, MAZ, MTZ, Rostec, KAMAZ, Rosatom, and many others.
Automation and robotics were the main attractions for the future engineers; students explored the latest machine tools, 3D printers (including the "RusMelt 150M" project), and microelectronics. Outdoors, electric buses and agricultural machinery drew significant interest, as did a massive BELAZ truck with a 450-ton payload capacity. The students also highly appreciated collaborative projects—joint developments by Belarusian and Russian engineers ranging from prosthetic components to models of Generation 3+ reactors for the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant. During the tour, special attention was paid to the stands of leading industry enterprises. These included JSC "MTC"—a legendary brand continuing to break new ground in mechanical engineering—and the Belarusian Machine-Tool Company (BSK), which showcased advanced, innovative solutions in machine-tool manufacturing. Other exhibitors showcasing the industry's latest achievements also drew considerable attention.
The students did not merely observe from the sidelines; they immersed themselves in the world of modern technology in a thoroughly contemporary way—actively inquiring about technical details, asking company representatives questions, and discussing what they saw among themselves. Such trips allow MSF students to see how real-world manufacturing is evolving today—moving beyond textbook illustrations to experience engineering in action.
For first-year students, this trip offers a fantastic opportunity to see theoretical knowledge applied in practice early in their studies, meet potential employers, and find inspiration for their own engineering projects.
We thank all the participants for their interest and the organizers for the chance to get a firsthand look at the technologies of the future!
