Department : Tactics and general military training

The Department of Tactics and General Military Training of the Military Technical Faculty at BNTU was organized in February 2008. The basis of the educational and material base of the department was the cycle of tactics and general military training of the department “Military Engineering Training” of the Military Technical Faculty (created in 2004, the first head of the cycle was Colonel A.K. Usov) and the department “Combat use of units and units” (created in June 2007, the first head of the department, Colonel N.M. Selivonchik).

In February 2008, the department of “Combat Use of Units and Units” was transformed into the department of “Tactics and General Military Training”. Colonel N.M. was appointed the first head of the department. Selivonchik. From 2009 to 2016, the department was headed by Colonel A.V. Bartoshevich. From 2016 to 2022, the department was headed by Colonel A.V. Zyryanov. Since February 2023, the department has been headed by Colonel A.E. Zinkovich.

The department is the leading scientific and pedagogical unit of the military-technical faculty: it trains career officers in all specialties, and reserve officers and junior commanders in all military-accounting specialties for which training is conducted at the military-technical faculty. In addition, the department trains personnel officers in the specialty “Industrial and civil construction”, within the framework of the specialization “Technical operation of buildings and structures”, qualification: civil engineer, management specialist, training period is 4 years. In 2023, enrollment was made in the specialty "Construction of buildings and structures. Profile: Industrial and military construction.", training period is 5 years, qualification civil engineer, Master's degree. The training of military specialists takes place in the interests of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

On September 1, 2017, the department began training junior commanders in the military specialty “Tank Commander,” and from September 1, 2018, reserve officers in the military specialty “Combat use of tank units, units and formations.”

The department takes part in the training of foreign military specialists.

The department includes 4 cycles:

cycle of tactics and fire training (the first head of the cycle is Lieutenant Colonel A.A. Tarchishnikov);

cycle of general military training (the first head of the cycle is Colonel A.K. Usov);

cycle of social and humanitarian disciplines (the first head of the cycle is Lieutenant Colonel V.V. Chizhik);

physical training cycle (the first head of the cycle is Lieutenant Colonel Yu.L. Kulsha).
