The department "Bridges and Tunnels" began its history in 1977, when the need for the development of bridge and tunnel construction in Belarus reached its peak, in the year when the construction of the metro began in Minsk, and for the forced training of bridge engineers and metro builders with the specialty " Highways” groups of students of various courses numbering 50 people were transferred.
Since 2001, for the first time in Belarus, the graduation of specialists in the specialization "Metropolitans" began. In creating this specialization, the department received the support and assistance of many road and railway universities of the Russian Federation.

On the basis of LLC "EKOMOST" a branch of the department "Bridges and tunnels" was created
EKOMOST LLC is one of the leading enterprises in Minsk in designing the engineering and transport infrastructure of settlements.
The subject of the organization's activities is the implementation of a full range of design and survey work for the reconstruction, overhaul of bridge structures, pedestrian underpasses and other infrastructure of the city.
