On the eve of the new 2026/27 academic year, an online informational meeting was held at the Belarusian National Technical University on June 24th to discuss the arrival and training of foreign citizens. The event was organized by Elena Khodan, Director of the Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications. The key topic of the event was preparations for the arrival in Minsk of 10 undergraduate students from Karshi State University (Republic of Uzbekistan), who will continue their education in the second stage of their studies at BNTU in the new academic year.
The videoconference was attended by Nasiba Azizova, Head of the International Joint Educational Programs Coordination Department; Natalia Mikhalyuta, Leading Specialist of the BNTU Faculty of International Cooperation; the students and their parents. The main goal of the online meeting was to provide a detailed and transparent explanation of all organizational, legal, and financial issues related to their relocation, adaptation, and stay in the Republic of Belarus. During the constructive dialogue, comprehensive answers were provided to all the families' concerns.
The online meeting was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere. Parents thanked the organizers for their transparency and detailed explanation of all the details of their children's stay in Belarus. Students, in turn, received a clear plan of action: from purchasing tickets to settling into the dormitory.
The collaboration between BNTU and Karshi State University is a striking example of the effective integration of the educational spaces of two friendly countries. The second stage of study in Minsk involves in-depth study of specialized engineering disciplines, work in modern laboratory facilities, and participation in real-life design and survey work.
Students will continue their education in in-demand technical specialties. A BNTU diploma, recognized worldwide, opens broad prospects for young professionals in the labor market, especially given the active infrastructure development in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
BNTU plans to further expand its partnerships by developing academic mobility programs and joint research with leading universities in Uzbekistan. We look forward to welcoming our new students from Karshi State University in August!
