On April 7, students from study groups 10904125 and 10904123 of the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy, along with Elena Andreyevna Shatilo, a lecturer from the Department of Vacuum and Compressor Technology, attended the opening of a large-scale exhibition at the following international trade fairs:
Metalworking;
Mechanical Engineering;
Welding and Cutting;
Powder Metallurgy;
Corrosion Protection. Coatings;
Litmetexpo: Casting and Metallurgy.
The event brought together over 200 companies from Belarus, Russia, China, India, Turkey, Israel, and South Korea. The forum's topics covered all stages of the production cycle, from structural materials and machine tools to ready-made technological solutions. The exhibition participants presented premiere displays of the latest equipment, showcasing current trends in mechanical engineering and metallurgy.
Demonstrations of robotic systems and additive technologies, which are being actively implemented at leading industrial enterprises, were of particular interest to future specialists.
For FEP students, the tour was an excellent opportunity to:
· See real industrial solutions used at modern enterprises;
· Learn about innovative technologies in metalworking and mechanical engineering;
· Assess the industry's development prospects and potential areas for professional growth;
· Relate the knowledge they were gaining at the university to current industry requirements.
Following the visit, the students noted that exposure to equipment from leading global brands helped them better envision their future professional careers and understand which competencies need to be developed now.
Attending such events is an important part of the practical training of future engineering and teaching staff. It helps students better understand the connection between theory and the real production environment, broadens their professional horizons, and motivates them to study modern digital and production technologies.
