Students from groups 10305124 and 10305224 of the Technological Equipment Department of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Belarusian National Technical University, along with department assistant Veronika Sergeyevna Danilovich, attended the grand opening of the international specialized exhibition "Metalworking. Mechanical Engineering-2026." The event took place at the Minsk Football Arena (20/2 Pobediteley Avenue) and will run until April 10.
The official opening ceremony began on the pavilion's main stage, bringing together representatives from the Ministry of Industry, the National Academy of Sciences, and leading holding companies of the Union State. For future engineers in the Technological Equipment Department, the visit to the exhibition was an important part of the educational process, allowing them to see real machines and technologies that they will service and modernize tomorrow.
This year's exhibition was impressive in scale: nearly 200 companies from Belarus and Russia, as well as China and other countries, presented their developments. BNTU students were able to see firsthand the products of recognized industry leaders such as StankoGomel JSC, Krasny Borets Machine Tool Plant, MZOR, and Masherov Machine Tool Factory.
The digital technology booths generated the greatest interest among future specialists:
Attending such forums is part of BNTU's strategy to train engineering professionals who are directly familiar with the requirements of the real economy. The "Metalloobrabotka-2026" exhibition provides a snapshot of the current state of the industry, where students from groups 10305124 and 10305224 were able to find ideas for their future coursework and diploma projects, as well as explore potential internship opportunities.
