High school students tried to look into their future: career guidance of FGDIE and FTUG

Минские старшеклассники попробовали заглянуть в свое будущее: профориентация ФГДИЭ и ФТУГ

On Monday, March 30, trainee teachers Maria Shukalo (Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering) and Darya Pavlovich (Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarian Studies) held a career guidance event at Secondary School No. 16 in Minsk.

More than 80 students from grades 10 and 11 had the opportunity to learn about the history of Belarus's largest technical university, learn about the distinctive features of its faculties, receive up-to-date information on entrance exam scores, receive an invitation to an open day, take a virtual 3D tour of the university's main building, and explore employment opportunities after graduation.

An interactive quiz, "Career Guidance," was also prepared, during which students received recommendations on suitable specialties based on the scientific fields to which they answered questions most accurately.

The meeting was lively and productive, with the senior students eagerly learning about the paths to their professional futures unfolding before their very eyes.

"I'm happy to be of service, and perhaps even this short meeting, in keeping with the 'butterfly effect,' will turn the gaze of the younger generation to the light of knowledge, which, in turn, will improve the lives of others around them, those who will cross the bridge, drive along the highway, admire the city's architecture, and learn about the innovative discoveries made by BNTU graduates," Maria Shukalo concluded.
