Today, on April 2, the final event of the vibrant student disco marathon took place at the Belarusian National Technical University. For several weeks, the 8th Academic Building of the Belarusian National Technical University became a place of attraction for hundreds of students, where they could take a break from their studies and recharge their energy. Let's remember how it was.
The marathon was launched by students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering. The evening was full of activities, including exciting contests, dance battles, and a giveaway of souvenirs from the BNTU Student Association. The marathon was then joined by students from the Faculty of Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship, who shared their experiences, danced to popular songs, and enjoyed socializing outside of the classroom. The atmosphere was truly friendly and energetic.
Next, students from the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy, the Faculty of Architecture, and the Faculty of Transport Communications took to the dance floor.
"The disco was amazing. It was great to have three faculties together — the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy, the Faculty of Architecture, and the Faculty of Transport Communications. Each of them brought their own unique atmosphere, but together they created a truly captivating experience. The music was top-notch, and the atmosphere was filled with positivity. I can't wait for a repeat! Thank you so much to the organizers for the excellent sound and lighting," said Margarita Maklak, a student from the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy.
Later, students from the Faculty of Sports and Technology, the Faculty of Management and Humanitarian Studies, and the Faculty of Military Engineering joined the marathon. Many students came in groups, and some even met each other on the venue. Then, the Faculty of Automotive Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering took over the baton, and the students put aside their coursework, drawings, and manuals to have a great time.
The final disco of the marathon was hosted by students from the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics and the Faculty of Energy Engineering, marking the end of the dance competition.
Student discos at the Polytechnic have long ceased to be just dance nights. Today they are platforms for informal communication, exchange of energy and strengthening of ties between students of different faculties. The marathon showed: future engineers can not only count and draw, but also have a good time.
