FITR hosted the youth legal awareness lecture “How to Have Fun and Stay Out of Trouble,” focusing on legal literacy, safe behavior, and students’ responsibility in everyday life.

On September 10, 2026, the Department of Robotic Systems of FITR hosted a meeting with Andrey Yarovenko, a representative of Fanipol Plant of Measuring Instruments “Energomera” LLC. Students learned about the company’s activities, modern equipment and software, and also took part in a practical session.

The speakers explained why the date of September 17 became a symbol of the unity of the Belarusian people and acquired the status of one of the main state holidays.

On September 4, first-year students of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics attended the lecture-presentation “You Are a Student: How Studies Work.” FITR Student Council Chair Elizaveta Averyanova introduced students to the learning process, university opportunities, and key BNTU Student Council projects.

On September 2 and 3, FITR held dialogue sessions for freshmen on student rights and responsibilities. The participants discussed BNTU’s internal regulations, benefits, academic leave, retakes and disciplinary liability. Special guest Elena Bulko, a juvenile affairs inspector, also joined the meetings.

Dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics, Yulia Mazanik, spoke about her career path, participation in international projects, and why girls shouldn’t be afraid to choose IT professions.

On August 28, FITR held an organizational meeting for first-year students. The students met with representatives of the Dean’s Office and inspector Elena Bulko, who spoke about preventing fraud and offenses, as well as the consequences of alcohol and drug use and smoking.

On August 15–16, 2026, the Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics (FITR) of BNTU took part in the family festival “Bukids City of Professions” held at the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. At the faculty’s interactive area, children explored the profession of a programmer, controlled robots, solved logic tasks, learned the basics of algorithms, and tried their hand at programming. The festival provided a great opportunity for young participants to discover the world of IT and robotics in an engaging and playful way.

This time, guests will be introduced to the fields of study offered by three faculties at once: the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering, the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics, and the Faculty of Architecture.
