«Уральский путь – 2026»: заведующая кафедрой ФТК приняла участие в ежегодной дорожной конференции в Екатеринбурге

During her business trip from March 2 to 6, 2026, Tatyana Chistova, Head of the Department of Highways at the Faculty of Transport Communications, participated in the scientific and practical conference "The Ural Route: Modern Asphalt Concrete. Crushed Stone, Bitumen, and Technologies," where she presented a paper entitled "Using Chemically Activated Filler for Cement and Asphalt Concrete." The paper presented the results of research conducted at the Department of Highways.

The subject of chemical activation of acidic aggregates generated significant professional interest among the participants. Rocks of the Mikashevichi complex (biotite granites, granodiorites, and quartz diorites), which possess predominantly acidic properties (SiO₂ content > 65%), do not provide proper adhesion to bitumen, and consequently, the strength and durability of asphalt concrete.

The discussion covered the mechanisms of chemical activation, the impact of modified aggregates on the properties of asphalt concrete mixtures, and the potential for integrating these technologies into industrial practice.

As part of the off-site event at the facilities of PJSC "Uralasbest", meetings were held with the management of the companies "Stilobit", "Uralasbest", and "Ekover". During the discussions, up-to-date information on modern technologies and materials was obtained. This information will be applied to the updating of the department's academic programs and teaching materials.
