On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, students from the 11310125 group of the Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology, along with their supervisor, Senior Lecturer Natalia Kondratyeva, visited the exhibition "My Belarus." This large-scale exhibition was held at the Minsk International Exhibition Center. In the thematic locations, students were able to explore the future of the country through its present, learn about Belarus's advanced achievements in various fields (science, culture, and economy), and take virtual trips to different regions of the country, immersing themselves in the national traditions.
Belarus is among the countries with a high level of scientific and technological development. This is largely due to the education system, which provides an opportunity not only to acquire knowledge, but also to implement ideas during the study period. The students were interested in the stands "Innovative Infrastructure and University Science," "Physicotechnical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus," and "Minsk Motor Plant." In addition, the students paid special attention to the stands of the Belarusian National Technical University, which were presented by the departments of the Faculty of Instrument Engineering: "Laser Sources and Systems" and "Materials for Laser Technology (Laser Crystals)." Students were able to see the prospects of the specialties offered by their chosen faculty.
Student Mikhail Trava shared his impressions: "Belarus is a space-faring nation, with its own satellites in orbit and people who have conquered outer space. The Belarusian-Russian satellite for remote sensing of the Earth for topographic, environmental, and national security services was of particular interest. I had the opportunity to examine an astronaut's spacesuit in detail."
Daria Pobol, a student, said, "I was very impressed by the New Horizons of Agroindustry location, which showcased a variety of Belarusian food products and agricultural machinery produced by leading engineering companies. Everyone enjoyed the delicious sweet treats and tried new varieties of vegetable and fruit juices."
Anastasia Ignatenko, a student, also shared her personal experience at the My Belarus exhibition: "I was greatly impressed by the exhibition dedicated to the achievements of Belarus. Among the exhibits, we particularly remember modern samples of equipment: engines, cars, and high-tech equipment, including laser systems. We were also interested in innovative developments, such as special protective suits that are resistant to high temperatures, and career guidance services (for example, a generator for future professions). The exhibition was very informative and engaging, allowing us to see both the country's industrial potential and cutting-edge developments in various fields."
