On 17 February 2026, students of the 11th engineering class of the Svislach Secondary School named after A.G. Chervyakov visited the Department of Geodesy and Aerospace Geotechnologies of BNTU. The visit took place as part of career guidance work with future applicants.
Senior lecturer Sergei Mikhailovich Krupitsa conducted a practical lesson for the guests: "Studying Optical Theodolites and Levels". The schoolchildren not only got acquainted with the structure of professional equipment but also tried it out in practice: they learned to measure distances, elevations, vertical and horizontal angles.
During the meeting, Sergei Mikhailovich told the students in detail about the multifaceted profession of a surveyor (geodesist), which is indispensable in construction, cartography, land management and other fields. Special attention was paid to the admission requirements and the specifics of studying the "Geodesy" specialisation at BNTU, in order to help schoolchildren make an informed choice of their future professional path.
