BNTU hosted a meeting with the delegation of the PRC

Today, 29 May, the Scientific and Technological Park BNTU "Polytechnik'' held a meeting with the delegation of PRC (city of Chansha). The purpose of the visit was to discuss the expansion of scientific and technical co-operation.

For reference: the relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China are getting stronger over time, which is observed not only in the field of economic co-operation, but also in the educational sphere. Chinese students are increasingly choosing Belarusian universities for their education, and Belarusian students, in turn, are increasingly interested in learning Chinese.

The Chinese delegation included:

• Member of the party leadership group, Vice Mayor of the Municipal People's Government Peng Tao;
• Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director of the Bureau of Science and Technology Guo Kuan;   
• Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Economic Development Zone Zen Hongying;
• Deputy Director of the Bureau of Industrial Development of the Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Bureau of Science and Technology of Zhang Huiyu County;     
• Director of the office of the Bureau of Science and Technology Yu Xinhui;      
• Chairman of Hunan Kongzhong Pharmaceutical Wang Zhengqiu;
• Chairman of Hunan Tongan Pharmaceutical Gao Buyun;·        
• President of the Association for the Promotion of Student Entrepreneurship at Li Kui University;  
• Zhang Lihong, Executive Director and CEO of Human Xingtong Automobile Manufacturing      
• Deputy Director General of the Information Technology Company of the Department of Foreign Affairs Xiang Baojun.

The negotiations on the Belarusian side were conducted by Vice-Rector for Academic Work Yuri Nikolaychik, Vice-Rector for Research Ksenia Yakushenko, General Director of the BNTU Scientific and Technological Park "Polytechnik" Georgy Vershyna, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation Pavel Shirvelu, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Work Technology Andrei Avsievich, Deputy Dean for Academic Work of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Andrei Rakhlei, Director of the BNTU branch "Research Polytechnic Institute" Viktor Kusyak Viktor Kusyak.

Prior to the discussion, the guests visited the Technopark's exhibition hall. The delegates were introduced to various developments in such areas as transport, parts manufacturing, and medicine.

–  The co-operation between the Belarusian National Technical University and China is developing quite actively. At the moment, there are already many projects in education, medicine, robotics and transport," – said Yuri Nikolaychik.

Afterwards, in the conference hall of the Technopark, negotiations on cooperation between BNTU and the city of Changsha took place. Yuri Alexandrovich made a presentation of the university and gave examples of already implemented cooperative educational programs with different countries, as well as introduced the available fields of study for foreign students.

At the end of the meeting the participants put forward proposals for future cooperation.

We thank our colleagues from the People's Republic of China for their visit and look forward to productive cooperation.
