From 11-18 of March,2024 the delegation of Belarusian National Technical University consisted of the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Sergey Nikolaevich Kovshar and senior lecturer of the department "Building materials and construction technology" Vitaly Yurievich Gurinovich, was on a working visit to Qingdao University of Technology.

At a welcoming meeting with Vice-Rector Chen Lianjun, Dean of the Faculty of International Education Zhou Hongyan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Li Shaochun, Head of the Laboratory of Civil Engineering Feng Chao, the participants discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between universities in the field of scientific research, exchange of teaching staff and students, organization of training specialists in joint educational programs (JEP).In addition, Sergey Nikolaevich Kovshar presented the presentation about BNTU and spoke in detail about the conditions of study and residence of foreign citizens at the university, the experience of teaching foreign students within the framework of JEP, entrance and training in master's and postgraduate studies, as well as about the educational and scientific laboratory base of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, scientific and technical events and forums held at BNTU.
After discussing general issues at a meeting with Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Li Shaochun, negotiations were held regarding the conduct of research within the framework of Belarusian-Chinese research projects. Four main areas of scientific research have been identified in the field of increased durability, assessment and monitoring of the corrosion condition of reinforced concrete structures.
Among other things during the visit, Sergey Nikolaevich Kovshar gave a lecture and shared his practical experience in the field of concrete research in the Republic of Belarus for students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. In turn Vitaly Yurievich Gurinovich presented the results of research in the field of industrial housing construction for undergraduates and graduate students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, he also held a training seminar on working in scientometric databases and identifying relevant and in-demand research areas.
The result of the visit was the drafting of the project of a roadmap between the Belarusian National Technical University and Qingdao University of Technology. We wish the parties productive cooperation and successful implementation of the plan.
