On Wednesday, September 9, at the Belarusian-Uzbek Joint Interdisciplinary Institute of Practical Technical Qualifications in Tashkent (located in Kibray district of Tashkent region) A grand solemn event titled “The Path to Big Dreams” took place. It combined the celebration of the “Independence Festival,” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates. The festival was organized under the patriotic slogan: “By uniting into one people, rallying around a single homeland, let us together build a new life, a new future!” 430 graduates of bachelor’s and master’s programs received their diplomas in a solemn atmosphere. Alexander Ogorodnikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the "Ulugbek" Foundation for the Support of Talented Youth, academician, Honored Mentor of Youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan Okil Salimov, Rector of Islam Karimov State Technical University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Honorary Professor of BNTU Sadritdin came to share the joy of the historical event with the graduates Turabdzhanov, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of the Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and heads of other universities and responsible persons of the khokimiyat of Kibray district.
The visit of the well‑known state and public figure, academician Okil Salimov, added a special atmosphere to the event. His wise words of encouragement strengthened the young professionals’ desire for knowledge and constructive work for the benefit of the country.
The institute’s executive director, Mirzaliev Sanjar, warmly congratulated the graduates on this important milestone in their lives. In his speech, he noted the high level of qualification of the young professionals, thanked the teaching staff for their enormous effort, and wished the graduates to become a reliable support for the development of the innovative potential of both countries.
A bright and inspiring part of the celebration was the remote video greeting from the institute’s director on the Belarusian side, Elena Khodan. In her official address to bachelors, masters, colleagues, and parents, the director emphasized that Belarus and Uzbekistan are today building a strong strategic alliance in the economic, industrial, and cultural spheres, and the main drivers of this partnership are precisely the trained young professionals.
Elena Khodan urged the graduates never to stop at what they have achieved and outlined the next important stages of professional growth for them. Elena Petrovna opened up new prospects for further education and invited the students to continue their academic journey through joint master’s programs, which would allow them to obtain two prestigious diplomas at once — from the Joint Institute and BNTU — guaranteeing a bright future. It was also noted that the master’s graduates, who have already demonstrated the ability to solve complex, integrated tasks, now have the door to major science open before them; in this regard, the director invited them to take a strategic step and enroll in the postgraduate program at BNTU.
The official diploma award ceremony naturally evolved into a vibrant celebration. A rich cultural program was prepared for graduates, teachers, and guests, featuring welcoming speeches and a large concert.
This event became a vivid symbol of strengthening interethnic harmony, friendship, and the development of cultural, humanitarian, and educational ties between Uzbekistan and Belarus, which is one of the main priorities of state policy and aligns with the key state priorities of both countries.
