Today, on February 22, the Belarusian National Technical University held a festive event dedicated to the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. Representatives of the Rector's Office and the Military Technical Faculty (MTF) of BNTU took part in the concert.


The first vice-rector Andrey Ivanovich Safonov and the head of the Military Technical Faculty, Andrey Alexandrovich Pachabyt, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech and congratulations. On the eve of the holiday, they wished the cadets and veterans good health, well-being and determination.


Festive orders on encouraging military personnel of the Armed Forces for diligence and distinction in service, as well as in connection with the celebration of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were read out by Acting Chief of the MTF Colonel Yaroslav Grigoryevich Goncharenko. According to the orders, the cadets and staff of the faculty were awarded a number of awards: diplomas, commendations, badges "90 years of the Military Technical Faculty" - and valuable gifts from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.




The festive concert continued with the performances of the creative teams of the BNTU Department of Cultural Affairs. So, the National Brass Band performed solemnly and brightly on the stage. The musicians performed such compositions as "We need one victory" and "Holidays in Rio". The national culture was demonstrated by the "Friendship" dance ensemble and the "Kahanachka" folk song ensemble.



The performances of the soloists of the vocal and pop studio "The Soul in Love" Stepan Doroshenko, Anastasia Melkumyan, Daria Atroshenko, Ekaterina Lobata and a pupil of the 11th grade of gymnasium №7 of Minsk named after V. I. Liventsev, finalist of the “New Wave” competition Maria Ermakova were piercing.The guys performed songs filled with patriotism and positivity.





The audience was also pleased with the performances of the “Tango” ballroom dance Studio, the Folk Choral Chapel and the Folk Violinist Ensemble.



The final chord of the event was the song "Together", which was sung by all the participants of the concert.
