In full-time education, engineers are trained to work in the design, technological and production departments of shipbuilding and ship repair plants, as well as in the field of technical operation of water transport and water transport structures, in survey bureaus, inspections of the Register and small vessels.
There is an acute shortage of engineers in this specialty in the republic, and in connection with the development of water tourism and the adoption of the Program for the Development of Inland River and Sea Transport for 2016–2020, the need for specialists in the field of shipbuilding and operation of inland water transport will increase.
The training of engineers in this specialty is carried out in close cooperation with the leading university for shipbuilding in the CIS countries - St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University according to curricula and programs agreed with it. Along with specialized enterprises, specialty engineers are in great demand at enterprises in the mechanical engineering, energy, construction, and automotive industries.
Full-time education provides training for economic engineers specializing in areas related to the functioning of utility and water management enterprises, including design, construction and operation.
Students are involved in research work and participate in international programs and events.
Graduates will receive the qualification of engineer-economist and work in housing and communal services, at water supply and sewerage, heat and gas supply, water management in engineering and economic positions in planning and financial services, in logistics departments, in monitoring and security services environment, in research organizations, in commercial enterprises.
Graduates have the opportunity to continue their education at the department with a master's degree in the specialty "Economics and Organization of Production", including studying abroad within the framework of international student exchange programs.
Civil engineers are trained for production, technological, design and research activities for the creation and operation of heat and gas supply systems for cities, settlements, industrial and municipal enterprises, agricultural facilities, heating and ventilation systems for residential, public and industrial buildings.
This specialty is characterized by environmental protection (in terms of preserving the purity of atmospheric air) and resource-saving orientation of training, which makes it possible to successfully use its graduates to create effective technologies and equipment for environmentally friendly heat supply processes in the republican environmental monitoring system.
Civil engineers specializing in the areas of design, construction and operation of water supply and sanitation systems in populated areas, industrial and agricultural enterprises are trained. Graduates of this specialty also work in research and environmental organizations, government agencies and commercial enterprises.
The educational process is aimed at obtaining in-depth knowledge of the design, construction, reconstruction and operation of modern water supply and sanitation systems, including water treatment facilities and wastewater treatment facilities. The teaching of special disciplines is carried out taking into account modern scientific and engineering achievements in this area, rational use and protection of water resources, energy and resource conservation. Theoretical training is combined with practical training. Internships are organized at leading enterprises in the industry, in design and construction organizations, at enterprises operating water supply and sanitation systems, and in research organizations.
In full-time education, civil engineers are trained for construction, installation and operational organizations in the water management and energy industries, for water transport enterprises, for work in industrial and civil construction. Graduates of this specialty are also sent to work in research and design institutes engaged in the research and design of water management and water transport systems, hydraulic engineering and energy structures. There is a great need for water management engineers in the republic, both currently and in the future, as a result of which all graduates of this specialty are provided with work. We have a wealth of experience and constantly train specialists in hydraulic engineering for foreign countries.
During the training process, students gain in-depth knowledge of the design, construction, reconstruction and operation of modern water management systems. The teaching of special disciplines is carried out taking into account modern scientific and engineering achievements in this area. Theoretical training is combined with practical training. Internships are organized at leading enterprises of the Republic of Belarus and abroad.
In full-time education, civil engineers are trained for construction, installation and operational organizations in the energy sector and industry. Graduates of this specialty will also be sent to work in research and design institutes engaged in the research and design of thermal and nuclear power plants, other energy and industrial facilities and systems. There is a great need in the republic for engineers of this specialty, since thermal energy currently forms the basis of all our energy. This need is especially increasing in the future in connection with the country’s course towards the development of nuclear energy and the widespread use of renewable energy sources and local fuels.
